Professor Kirill Alexandrov, an NBCF-funded researcher at The University of Queensland, has a personal connection with breast cancer as his wife was diagnosed with the disease a few years ago. He has always been professionally interested in the disease, but after it affected his life personally, his reasons became stronger and he became even more determined to help find a cure. In this video, shared by National Breast Cancer Foundation, watch Prof. Alexandrov talk about breast cancer research from a biotechnology perspective and learn more about how science has been evolving in the development of new ways to diagnose, prevent and treat breast cancer.
