Breast Cancer: Risk Factors

Dr. Shahla Masood is the medical director of the UF Health Breast Center. In this video from UF Health Jacksonville, Dr. Masood discusses breast cancer, how most of the breast cancers are “sporadic breast cancers” – which are cancers that develop in both men and women and that are not associated with any risk factors. Dr. Masood also talks about the most common risk factors associated with breast cancer such as family history and genetics, but also age and prolonged exposure to estrogen.
