The Strawberry Tea is a fundraising campaign launched by the British charity Breast Cancer Care to help improve care for people who suffer from breast cancer. Anyone can participate and help the organization by hosting a Strawberry Tea, like Lorna who is pictured in this video. Like many others, Lorna has decided to organize a Strawberry Tea party in a yard and she described the experience as “fantastic.”
“Hold a Strawberry Tea this summer and help support women facing breast cancer. We’ll send you a free fundraising kit packed with lots of goodies for your strawberry-tastic event. Whether it’s you and a few friends in the garden, a family tea party or even a strawberry bake sale at your work or school, it’s a great excuse to get together and make a massive difference,” invites the Breast Cancer Care, which shared the video on its YouTube channel.
The proceeds from the fundraising events are used by the charity to help women cope with breast cancer. As explained by the Breast Cancer Care. Just £10 is able to provide information about treatment for ten breast cancer patients, while £55 can fund the attendance for one young woman on a course with expert information, support, the opportunity to connect with others under the age of 45 with the same diagnosis, and fight isolation. £450 will enable the offer of support and information to help 15 people through the Breast Cancer Care’s free Helpline.
