There are several things we need to pay attention to when we search for breast cancer symptoms. When spreading the word about this cancer, self-examination is one of the most common things we hear about and we’re told to focus on noticing if we feel any breast lumps that may be concerning.
There are a lot of questions to ask about lumps. How do they develop? Do they mean cancer every time? Do all lumps cause pain? In this video, shared by Breast Cancer Answers® in 2012, you can find some of those questions answered as Dr. Harness explains that a painful lump in the breast does not always indicate cancer. Actually, many times, breast cysts are responsible for pain in the breasts and not cancer.
With that said, please keep in mind that if you’re having breast pain, you should be evaluated by a doctor.
